What LayerFlow3D Works With

Printers read natively, carriers that print a real label, and the ways a buyer can pay. Each card says where it works and whether we have run it end to end.

Printers: what is read, and how

LayerFlow3D watches printers, it does not control them. Nothing it sends can start, pause or stop a print, and it uploads no files.

The readings come from a small agent on a computer in the same network as the printers - Windows, macOS or Linux, installed with one command. It reads each printer once a minute, sends the readings out over HTTPS and opens no port to the internet.

Bambu Lab

Built for: A1, A2L, P1, X1, H2

Connects over
MQTT over TLS on the local network, port 8883
The form asks for
access code, serial number
Reads
status, progress and time left, layer, file name, nozzle and bed temperatures, chamber temperature, fans, filament slots, fault messages
Limits and conditions
An AMS Lite has no scale and always reads full, so filament use comes from the order, not the printer. The printer takes only a few local connections at once; while other apps hold them, it reads as refused.
How it was checked
Measured on real printers: A1, A2L, H2C.

Creality

Built for: K1, K2

Connects over
WebSocket on the local network, port 9999
The form asks for
The printer address only
Reads
status, progress and time left, layer, file name, nozzle and bed temperatures, chamber temperature, fans, filament slots, fault messages
Limits and conditions
CFS slots report a percentage, never a weight.
How it was checked
Built against a customer printer: K2 Pro.

Anycubic

Built for: Kobra 3, Kobra 3 V2, Kobra 3 Max, Kobra S1, Kobra S1 Max, Kobra X

Connects over
HTTP on the local network, port 18910, to ask the printer for the port and keys of its MQTT broker. Then MQTT over TLS on the port the printer gives in that reply.
The form asks for
The printer address only
Reads
status, progress and time left, layer, file name, nozzle and bed temperatures, fans
Limits and conditions
The printer has to be in LAN mode; in cloud mode it does not answer on the network. No fault messages and no filament-unit readings.
How it was checked
Built against a customer printer: Kobra 3 Max, Kobra X.

ElegooBeta

Built for: Centauri Carbon

Connects over
SDCP over WebSocket on the local network, port 3030
The form asks for
The printer address only
Reads
status, progress and time left, layer, file name, nozzle and bed temperatures, chamber temperature, fans, fault messages
Limits and conditions
The Centauri Carbon 2 speaks another protocol and is not read yet.
How it was checked
Built from the published protocol, not yet confirmed on a real printer.

FlashforgeBeta

Built for: Adventurer 5M, Adventurer 5M Pro, AD5X

Connects over
HTTP on the local network, port 8898
The form asks for
access code, serial number
Reads
status, progress and time left, layer, file name, nozzle and bed temperatures, chamber temperature, fault messages
Limits and conditions
The printer has to be in LAN mode; in cloud mode it does not answer on the network. Older Adventurer models are not read.
How it was checked
Built from the published protocol, not yet confirmed on a real printer.

Klipper + MoonrakerBeta

Built for: Voron, Rat Rig, QIDI, Sovol, Elegoo Neptune 4

Connects over
HTTP on the local network, port 7125
The form asks for
The printer address only
Reads
status, progress and time left, file name, nozzle and bed temperatures, chamber temperature, fans, fault messages
Limits and conditions
Moonraker has to answer on its port. Choose Voron, Rat Rig, QIDI or Sovol as the make, or put Klipper in the model name of another make.
How it was checked
Built from the published protocol, not yet confirmed on a real printer.

Prusa / OctoPrintBeta

Built for: PrusaLink, OctoPrint

Connects over
HTTP on the local network, port 80
The form asks for
API key
Reads
status, progress and time left, file name, nozzle and bed temperatures, fault messages
Limits and conditions
Needs an API key; PrusaLink sign-in with a username and password is not supported.
How it was checked
Built from the published protocol, not yet confirmed on a real printer.

Anything marked beta is built and tested against the service's documentation, but we have not yet watched it run against the live service - tell us before you rely on it and we will check it with you.

Slicer files

A sliced .gcode or .gcode.3mf fills a print model, the price calculator or an order, and prices an upload on your shop page. Pricing an OrcaSlicer file in LayerFlow3D shows what is read from an OrcaSlicer export.
